The experience

A private modern-art museum that opened in 2019 in the Pangrati district, finally showing the Goulandris family's long-hidden collection. Galleries across several floors hold works by Cezanne, Van Gogh, Gauguin, Monet, Degas, Picasso, Braque, Giacometti and Balthus, shown alongside major modern Greek painters and sculptors, making a calm, uncrowded counterpoint to the city's ancient sites.
