The experience

Also called Rot Fai (Railway) Park, this large park on former State Railway land adjoins Chatuchak Park to the north. Its wide, mostly flat lanes make it the best dedicated cycling park in central Bangkok, and there is a butterfly garden and insectarium, a vegetable garden, sports courts and several lakes. Big old shade trees keep much of it cool through the day.

The one big-city park built for a proper bike ride, with rental bikes at the gate.
