A residential neighbourhood in Jongno District set on the slope between Gyeongbokgung and Changdeokgung, filled with hundreds of restored hanok, traditional tile-roofed Korean houses. The narrow, hilly lanes hold guesthouses, craft studios, tea shops and private homes, and several vantage points look down over the tiled roofs to the modern city beyond.
The densest concentration of traditional Korean houses in central Seoul, walkable as a slow uphill wander between two palaces.
Seoul, South Korea · Jongno-gu (Gahoe-dong). Coordinates from the listing we sourced it from.
