The experience
A two-level belvedere and formal garden at the top of the Glória funicular in Bairro Alto, looking east across the Baixa and Avenida da Liberdade to the São Jorge castle on the opposite hill. The garden has fountains, busts and a tiled panel that names the landmarks on the skyline, plus a kiosk café. Entry is free and the terrace stays open through the night.
