At 277 m, Lycabettus is the highest point in central Athens. A pine-clad path, or a funicular from Kolonaki, climbs to the whitewashed chapel of St George and a broad summit terrace with 360-degree views over the city, the Acropolis and, on clear days, the Saronic Gulf. A cafe and open-air terrace crown the top.
