A 1.3 km, 3.5-hectare linear walk opened in 2013 along the abandoned Petite Ceinture ring railway that circled Paris from the 1850s. The tracks are still in place and the corridor is managed as an ecological reserve, running through woodland, meadow and wasteland habitats with educational panels on the flora and fauna that have reclaimed the line.
Walking a real abandoned Paris railway, rails underfoot, with the city humming above you.
