The sunken forest: a mountain lake formed by a 1911 earthquake landslide, where bleached spruce trunks still rise from the cold water a century later. A rough 4WD track keeps visitor numbers low.
The bumpy final road from Saty and zero resort development keep it a word-of-mouth stop.
