A twin bath commissioned by Sultan Süleyman for his wife Hürrem Sultan and designed by Mimar Sinan in the 16th century, standing on the square directly between Hagia Sophia and the Blue Mosque. It was restored and reopened as a working hamam in 2011. The experience is more structured and spa-like than the old neighbourhood baths, with guided steps and English-speaking attendants.
The most polished, immaculate hamam ritual in the city, in the single most central location imaginable.
