Dezerter Bazaar, near Station Square, is Tbilisi's largest and most atmospheric farmers' market. Sprawling indoor and outdoor stalls overflow with fresh produce, mountains of spices, sulguni and other cheeses, cured meats, pickles and churchkhela. Chaotic, loud and thoroughly local, it's where the city shops and where many food tours begin. It is named for soldiers who sold their gear here after WWI.
Dive into the loud, authentic heart of how Tbilisi actually shops for food.
