Talat Noi is a historic riverside quarter on the edge of Chinatown, one of Bangkok's original port neighbourhoods and home to Chinese communities since the city's founding. Its tight lanes are lined with car-parts workshops, old shophouses, tucked-away shrines and a growing cluster of murals and street art. The area also holds the So Heng Tai mansion, a Hokkien courtyard house several centuries old.
A photogenic maze of old-Chinese lanes and street art that rewards slow, aimless wandering.
