Mirante Dona Marta is a lookout at roughly 360 m on a spur of the Tijuca massif above Cosme Velho. It gives a sweeping frontal view of Sugarloaf, Guanabara Bay, Botafogo and Flamengo, with Christ the Redeemer rising directly above. Reached by car or tour van off the Corcovado road, it is a favourite early-morning and sunset photo stop.
The classic postcard angle on Sugarloaf and the bay, with Christ the Redeemer looming just overhead.
