A cluster of centuries-old timber houses on a 2,000 m grass shelf above the Fırtına valley, where the plateau regularly floats above a sea of clouds with the Kaçkar ridge behind.
The final 12 km from Şenyuva is rough dirt track — coach tourism can't get up, so it stays a Turkish hikers' and photographers' secret barely known abroad.
