A neighbourhood people live in · Mexico City, Mexico
A former colonial village absorbed by the city, Coyoacán keeps cobbled streets, low painted houses and two joined central squares, Jardín Centenario and Plaza Hidalgo. Landmarks around them include the 16th-century San Juan Bautista church and the coyote fountain that gives the barrio its name. It is one of the most walkable old centres in the south of the city.
A whole colonial quarter to wander on foot, with plazas, churches, cafés and the Frida Kahlo house all within a few blocks.
