A bath designed by Mimar Sinan around 1557 as part of the Süleymaniye Mosque complex he built for Sultan Süleyman the Magnificent, on the hill above the Golden Horn. Unusually among the historic hamams it operates as a mixed bath, admitting couples and families together rather than splitting the day by gender. The setting is less modernised and less crowded than the Sultanahmet baths.
One of the few classical hamams where couples and families can bathe in the same room, inside a genuine Sinan monument.
