The experience
Design exhibition space that opened in 2007 in the garden of Tokyo Midtown, designed by Tadao Ando with Issey Miyake. The 1,700 sqm building is mostly below ground under a folded, hand-sanded steel-plate roof and two 14-metre sheets of glass. It has no collection: each show is built around a single theme, directed by designers Naoto Fukasawa and Taku Satoh.
