A private contemporary-art museum near Changdeokgung, housed in the landmark 1970s brick SPACE Group building designed by architect Kim Swoo Geun and a linked glass annex. The collection runs from Korean and international contemporary work to Young British Artists such as Damien Hirst, shown across small alcoves, former offices and stair-landings that make the building itself part of the experience. Closed Mondays.
A quiet, labyrinthine museum where you wander a masterpiece of Korean modern architecture room by room, rarely sharing it with more than a handful of other people.
