A strolling garden laid out between 1878 and 1885 by Iwasaki Yatarō, founder of Mitsubishi, around a large pond with three islands and a lakeside pavilion. Its defining feature is the collection of named stones shipped in from across Japan and set around the water, including a path of stepping stones that crosses the pond surface. It is designated a Tokyo Metropolitan Place of Scenic Beauty.
A ¥150 garden where the loudest thing is usually a heron.
