The experience
A restored riad on Rue Ahl Fes at Bin Lafnadek, five minutes from the Ben Youssef medersa, holding more than 10,000 photographs of Morocco from 1860 to 1960 — albumen prints, glass plates, autochromes. Three floors of galleries lead up to a rooftop terrace with a small café that looks across the medina roofs to the Atlas. Open daily 9:30 to 19:00.
The one rooftop over the medina where you are not queueing, because you had to buy a museum ticket to reach it.
