Somewhere to stop moving · Marrakech, Morocco
Thirty-five acres of olive grove, palm and rose garden at Km 6 on the Route du Barrage, built as a mud-walled Moroccan village of alleys, courtyards and little riads. Non-residents come for the day rather than the night: pools, sunbeds, a spa and hammam, and a long lunch under the trees. There are around 3,000 rose bushes, and several of the pools are heated in winter. It is roughly ten minutes from the airport and twenty from the medina.
The green, slow, un-Instagrammed alternative to an Agafay desert day, and close enough to do on a half day.
