A covered market opened in 1897, occupying a full block behind San Telmo's streets under an ornate wrought-iron and glass roof. Alongside antique dealers and produce and butcher stalls, its aisles hold beloved food counters serving choripan, empanadas, coffee and craft beer. A magnet for neighbourhood shoppers and visitors alike, it is busiest on Sundays when the surrounding antiques fair fills Defensa street.
An 1897 wrought-iron market where antique stalls share space with some of the city's best casual eats.
