The experience
Founded in 1948, Hot Clube de Portugal is one of Europe's oldest jazz clubs, running an almost nightly concert programme from a small cellar on Praça da Alegria. The intimate room seats around sixty, its walls covered in photographs of the musicians who have played there. A summer beer garden and free jam sessions round out the schedule.
