A 1930s bathhouse north of Kita-Senju built around a Japanese garden with a koi pond, azaleas, hydrangeas and maples, viewed from a wooden engawa veranda that runs along the changing room. The men's side has a Mt Fuji mural and jet, vibration, electric and rotating medicinal-herb tubs; the women's side has a Finnish sauna. It is known locally as the 'King of the Engawa'.
You bathe, then sit on a wooden veranda watching carp, which is the whole point of the exercise.
