A five-storey private museum in north Bangkok holding some 800 works, mostly by leading and emerging Thai painters, drawn from the collection of businessman Boonchai Bencharongkul. The 20,000 square metres of white, naturally lit galleries are calm and uncrowded compared with the city's temples, and one floor is given to international art. It rewards a slow, quiet wander.
Bangkok's most serene art experience: hours of Thai painting in cool, spacious, near-empty halls.
