Gaudi's last civic work, built 1906-1912 and nicknamed the stone quarry for its undulating limestone facade and kelp-like wrought-iron balconies. The building has almost no straight lines; its self-supporting facade wraps two courtyards. Highlights are the attic's brick catenary arches and the surreal chimney-warriors crowning the rooftop terrace. UNESCO-listed.
A rooftop of sculptural chimneys and an attic of parabolic arches crown Gaudi's final masterpiece.
