A 342m granite mountain directly behind the former presidential Blue House, long closed as a military zone and only reopened to the public in stages from 2020. The Baegak Trail follows the Hanyangdoseong city wall between Changuimun and Hyehwamun gates, climbing steep stone and wooden stairs to the summit. Part of the route passes through a restricted area with manned checkpoints.
The wall walk with the most dramatic history and a direct look down onto Gyeongbokgung Palace.
