The experience
A halal Chinese beef-noodle house hidden in an alley off a lane off Yanji Street in Da'an, holding a Michelin Bib Gourmand and almost entirely filled with locals. Its point of pride is a broth built on beef alone rather than a herbal spice cabinet, served clear or spicy with hand-pulled la mian and sliced shin and brisket. A griddle turns out beef-stuffed crepes as the other order. Lunch and dinner services only, cash only, and it closes on Wednesdays.
