A bar worth the late walk home · Taipei, Taiwan
A speakeasy at 5, Lane 378, Section 4 Xinyi Road, reached down a gap between buildings so narrow that first-timers walk past it. The name is a pun on the Taiwanese words for fragrance and bee, and the drinks match that register — savoury, jokey, technically serious. A second bar, Nest by Pun, sits in the basement of the same building and runs on reservations only. PUN itself is closed Mondays and stays open very late on weekends.
A door you have to ring a fake fire alarm to open, and drinks with a sense of humour.
