A cafe worth a slow morning · Hanoi, Vietnam
A small orange-fronted roaster-café at 5 Chân Cầm, one of the handful of Hanoi outfits working seriously with domestic beans rather than importing. They roast washed-process arabica from Lang Biang above Đà Lạt and natural-process robusta from Đức Cơ in Gia Lai, and serve them across phin, espresso and a slow bar. The room is tiny with a mezzanine above; open daily 7am to 9pm.
A Vietnamese roaster making the case that Vietnamese robusta deserves a slow bar, not just condensed milk.
