The experience
A third-floor whisky bar in Nishi-Shinjuku stocking more than 300 Japanese whiskies, including bottlings from small producers like Mercian and Venture Whisky alongside Suntory and Nikka. The room was fitted out by film art director Takeo Kimura and silent films are projected on the wall with the owner's soundtrack choices playing over them.
The single best place in the world to drink Japanese whisky by the glass, including bottles that no longer exist at retail.
