A night market that fills up late · Hanoi, Vietnam
Three nights a week the Old Quarter spine from Hàng Đào up to the gates of Đồng Xuân market closes to traffic and fills with stalls — clothes, shoes, bags, toys, souvenirs and handicraft — plus food vendors and impromptu street performers, dancers and karaoke. It runs Friday, Saturday and Sunday from about 7pm to midnight and does not exist Monday to Thursday. Vendors start breaking down well before the official close.
Three streets of the Old Quarter shut to traffic and become a market, but only three nights a week.
