A stage worth staying up for · Mexico City, Mexico

A grand dance hall in Colonia Guerrero open since 1937, often called the oldest in Mexico City. Live orchestras play salsa, cumbia, swing, mambo and danzón while couples fill the floor in a nostalgic, faded-glamour room. It draws a mostly local crowd there to actually dance.
A genuine 1930s dance hall with live orchestras, not a nostalgia set for tourists.
