A bar worth the late walk home · Hanoi, Vietnam
A speakeasy for roughly fifteen people on the second floor of 163 Phùng Hưng, entered through a door disguised as a bookshelf. Inside it commits hard to the early 1920s: red drapes, amber lamps, a disco ball and a world map across the ceiling. The list runs to whiskies and cocktails built to taste rather than off a menu, with complimentary snacks and a live band on some nights. Doors at 7pm, and 2am closings on Friday and Saturday.
Pull the right book off the shelf and a fifteen-seat Prohibition room opens behind it.
