Green space the city keeps · Mexico City, Mexico

A park set below street level (hence 'hundido', sunken) off Avenida Insurgentes in Benito Juárez, also called Parque Luis G. Urbina. It has walking paths, an off-leash dog area, replica pre-Hispanic sculptures scattered through the greenery, and a landmark flower clock. A calm, local neighborhood escape.
Dropping below street level genuinely muffles the Insurgentes traffic, and the replica Olmec and Aztec pieces along the paths are a quiet surprise.
