The experience

Fonda Margarita is a beloved open-air breakfast fonda in Tlacoquemecatl del Valle, serving home-style Mexican food from big clay cazuelas since 1948. Regulars come for frijoles refritos con huevo, chicharron en salsa verde and cafe de olla. It opens before dawn and closes at midday, Tuesday to Sunday.
