The experience
A nonprofit listening room on the fifth floor of 1158 Broadway, with the entrance around the corner on West 27th Street. It exists to let musicians premiere work rather than run through standards, which is why the New York Times called it the most imaginatively booked jazz club in New York. Programming runs to commissioned pieces, Signature Series duos and monthly big-band residencies, and every show is livestreamed as well as played to the room.
