The experience
The 21-hectare park of the Renzo Piano-designed Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center, opened in 2016 on former racecourse land near the coast. A sloping green roof climbs to a viewpoint over the Saronic Gulf and Acropolis, with olive groves, a Mediterranean garden, walking and running paths, a canal and a year-round calendar of free events.
