A table people book ahead for · Marrakech, Morocco
A small street-food counter on Place des Ferblantiers, the tinsmiths' square between the Bahia Palace and the Mellah, doing Moroccan and Levantine food to a much higher standard than the square's tourist terraces. Pitas of falafel, lamb or meatballs are built on bread baked in-house, alongside couscous, bowls and a house lemonade of orange, lemon, mint, orange blossom and cinnamon. Seating is a mist-cooled patio, which matters in July. Open daily 10am to 9:30pm.
The one counter on a square full of tourist terraces where the pita is baked in-house and the queue moves in minutes.
