Housed in a vast pavilion in Sao Cristovao, the Centro Luiz Gonzaga de Tradicoes Nordestinas, known as the Feira de Sao Cristovao, is Rio's great celebration of Northeastern Brazil. Hundreds of stalls sell regional food like carne de sol, tapioca and acaraje, plus cachaca, crafts and sweets, with live forro and dancing on weekends. Immersive, festive and deeply local.
An enormous Northeastern food-and-culture fair with regional cooking, cachaca and live forro.
