On Montjuic hill, this museum of modern art was founded by Joan Miro in 1975 in a luminous white building designed by his friend, architect Josep Lluis Sert. It holds paintings, sculptures, textiles and works on paper spanning Miro's career, plus a rooftop sculpture terrace and a programme of rotating contemporary exhibitions.
A bright, purpose-built home for Miro's playful, colour-saturated universe.
