The experience

A basement cocktail bar on Rue Moulay Ali in Gueliz, opened in 2016 by the Hadni brothers as the first bar in Marrakech dedicated to mixology, and still the only one with a Tales of the Cocktail Top 10 Middle East and North Africa listing to its name. It is dressed as a turn-of-the-century pharmacy, with house infusions, theatrical service and bespoke glassware, and there is a full Mediterranean kitchen behind the bar. There is no sign on the street. Closed Sundays.

Marrakech's first proper cocktail bar, behind an unmarked door and down a staircase, still the best drink in the country.
