A table worth the trip · Marrakech, Morocco
A small French bistro on Rue Moulay Ali in Gueliz doing bistronomy at lunch and a more ambitious semi-gastronomic menu at dinner, built on seasonal, locally sourced produce. The kitchen sends out things like dorade ceviche with cherries, whiting with fennel and beurre blanc, moussaka and a rotating tart, and the wine list is taken seriously. The room is stylish but modest, and it is largely a Gueliz residents' and long-stay expats' address rather than a visitor one. It opens Monday to Friday only.
Serious French cooking at Marrakech prices, in the weekday bistro Gueliz keeps for itself.
