A cafe worth a slow morning · Taipei, Taiwan
A dark, calm roasting café on Fuxing South Road near the back gate of National Taiwan University, long treated as one of the benchmarks of Taipei's specialty coffee scene. The bar is built around single-origin filter and cold-drip coffee — Geisha, honey-process lots, Guatemalan and Colombian beans — with an Irish coffee and a short list of cakes. Seating is limited and the room is quiet enough to work in. It opens at noon and takes Thursdays off.
The roaster Taipei's coffee people quietly rate highest, in a dim room behind the university.
