A bar the night ends up in · Marrakech, Morocco
A 1930s pétanque club on Bd el Mansour Eddahbi that restaurateur Kamal Laftimi — behind Café des Épices, Le Jardin and Nomad — spent three years restoring with the design studio DiegoandAlexeja. Terrazzo floors, velvet curtains, mirror balls, a marble bar and 1970s club chairs salvaged from La Mamounia fill a clubhouse set around a planted courtyard, with a mural by Moroccan artist Yassine Balbzioui in the old butchery room. Drinks and a produce-led Moroccan menu are served under the magnolia, and the original boules court is still in play.
A restored 1930s pétanque clubhouse and garden behind an unmarked door, boules included.
