The experience
A free pedestrian walkway on the lower deck of the Rainbow Bridge, crossing Tokyo Bay between Shibaura and Odaiba. The full route is about 1.5 km and reaches 58 metres above the water at the centre. There are two separate walkways that do not connect: the north route looks back at Tokyo Tower and Skytree, the south route out over Tokyo Bay, the Odaiba waterfront and shipping cranes, with Mount Fuji visible on clear days.
You walk out into the middle of Tokyo Bay and get the skyline from the water, without paying for anything.
