Phạm Tiến Tiệp, who trained at the Sofitel Legend Metropole, opened Nê on the food street of Tống Duy Tân in 2017 and effectively started Hanoi's cocktail scene. The bar is a single narrow room with a long counter, a neon sign, a heavy cell-style door and a small stage. Drinks are built on Vietnamese pantry ingredients — chicken salt, pickles, pho spices. It reached No. 76 on Asia's 50 Best Bars in 2021.
