The experience

Taipei's long-running jazz basement, now at B1, 500 Linsen North Road in Zhongshan after years on Anhe Road in Da'an. The purple-lit room seats around eighty and books professional ensembles alongside sit-in jam nights, drawing local players and touring musicians in equal measure. It is non-smoking and cash-only, with a kitchen doing burgers alongside the cocktails. Closed Sunday and Monday; music from 8pm.
