The experience
Pedra Bonita is a 696 m granite peak in Tijuca National Park above Sao Conrado. A well-marked forest trail of about 1.5 km round trip climbs gently to a broad summit with views of Pedra da Gavea, the Sao Conrado and Barra beaches, and the open ocean. The adjacent ramp is Rio's main hang-gliding and paragliding launch.
